At the risk of revealing my true inner geek, I absolutely LOVE these Mr. Darcy quotation posters by The Love Shop. The five-hour-long BBC version of Pride and Prejudice will always be one of my all-time favorite films. Have you seen it? With Collin Firth as the dashing Mr. Darcy…swoon!

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you say in this post!

I’m absolutely smitten over these posters. How lovely! I’m quite tempted to allow one to make its home above my mantel. :-)

Jennifer — I think that sounds like the perfect place! XO

I’m thinking about how my boyfriend might react if he arrived and found these posters on the wall. In my opinion, they’re some of the best words ever written.

oh Katie!!!!!! Pride and prejudice is my favorite! Aside from the book I found the script online just so I could re-read the part where dreamy Mr.Darcy and Elizabeth finally give in to each other. How’s that for geeky?! And on top of that, I cried over it for the hundredth time! ha! Shhh, don’t tell anyone ;)
Jocy says
Yay! I am a huge Pride and Prejudice fan, so these posters just made my day. I was just swooning over Colin Firth during the Academy Awards and friends did not know about the BBC series. Blasphemy.
the NEO-traditionalist says
Roxy — SOULMATES!!! That is so something I would do. We’ll have to watch it together someday and bawl our eyes out : )
Jocy — I can’t imagine not knowing it!!! It was seriously a highlight of my childhood…is that sad? XOXO
Jocy says
Katie, It is sad NOT to know. Really. My poor friends.

Oh my I love that first one! I love Pride and Predjudice I still haven’t seen the BBC version but it keeps coming up as a suggestion of my Netflix so I may have to rent it soon!
the NEO-traditionalist says
Staley — In all seriousness, if you like Jane Austen, you MUST rent the loooong BBC version. You will die and go to heaven. No, REALLY. XOXO
Michele says
oh, I love these. Absolutely ADORE MR. Darcy and Colin Firth. We watch this on a regular basis around here.
plaisirs simples says
ummmm are you KIDDING ME?! the keira knightly version i watch probably once a week. no joke.
Lauren says
Swoon indeed. I am going to have to splurge and make a purchase.
Like plaisirs simples, I watch the Keira version at least once a week and the Firth version every couple months. I was just watching Bridget Jones’s Diary last night and thought to myself, “all I need in life is a Mr. Darcy.” Facebook has a group called, “I blame Mr. Darcy for my high expectations of men.”
fric and frac says
Just reading these makes me weak in the knees! Oh how I love Mr. Darcy! Watching the BBC version never feels like 5 hours – it is SO good! Happy to hear you are an admirer as well – such a great love story!
Karen says
Sign me up for the P&P fan club, as stereotypical as it may be. And the BBC version is sooooooooo perfect! It’s my go-to on sick days when laying in bed (and maybe a bit of swooning) is required.
Did you see the recent BBC/PBS Masterpiece Theater of Emma? It was also pretty great!
Stevi says
How can you NOT love Mr. Darcy? I get butterflies when I read this or watch him deliver the lines in the film. That Jane Austen sure could write romance.
