I plan to someday own a manor in the English countryside and what manor is complete without a herd of elephant topiaries on the front lawn? Created by sculpture artist Steve Manning of Topiary Art Design, the company creates bespoke topiaries and willow sculptures to any size and design. While Manning does take on traditional garden trimming (see last two images), the most creative projects are his vast array of animal and people sculptures. Though based in the UK, the frames can be shipped anywhere in the world. Furthermore, Manning was the first topiary sculptor to use stainless steel in his frames, offering a lifetime guarantee. The topiaries have been used in garden shows, theme parks, and on civic and private properties. Most notable perhaps was the herd of willow elephants Manning was commissioned to create for display in Hyde Park in 2007 (see below). A memorable photo was snapped and published of HRH The Prince of Wales petting the elephants—classic.
