Ben Pentreath’s Dorset Country House

Happy Friday, my loves! Do you have any fun adventures planned? I thought I’d kick off the weekend with the handsome Dorset country home of English architect and designer Ben Pentreath. I’ve been dating a wonderfully funny Englishman from Dorset here in Chicago (what luck!) so I’m afraid my Jane Austen fantasies have been running a bit wild lately. Ben’s home is a 19th century former Parsonage and brilliantly mixes classic and contemporary English design. Ikat lampshades, Staffordshire spaniels, striped wool bed blankets–the entire home tugs at my heartstrings. It’s no surprise the Duchess of Cambridge enlisted Ben to decorate Kensington Palace.
