Today may be Halloween (happy, happy!), but I’m already thinking about my Thanksgiving table game. Is it just me or is it so hard to believe that Turkey Day is just three weeks away?! This year my mom and grandmother are flying up to Seattle to celebrate with us. Needless to say, Simon, the pugs, and I couldn’t be more excited. My favorite colors for the Thanksgiving table? Burgundy, orange, eggplant, and gold. I especially love natural touches incorporated into the table setting (think gourds, pumpkins, horn, and pheasant feathers). Below, I’ve gathered sixty pieces I think would look lovely when we sit down to feast. Enjoy! Above, some fabulous gold turkey place card holders.

Thank god we live in a world with Sam Sifton! “Thanksgiving” is one of the most delightful and entertaining reads, even if you’re leaving the roasting and simmering to someone else.

Alex – Love hearing this as I may be focusing on the table setting and leaving the roasting to Simon! Thanks for stopping by!

I’m hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year and found myself wondering over the last couple weeks, “I wonder if Katie will post about Thanksgiving. She’ll know what to do.” Thanks for the inspiration today and always! Obviously ordering the book immediately.
