House & Garden just published the London home of creative consultant Matilda Goad‘s and unsurprisingly, it’s brimming with English charm. If you love Rita Konig’s lovely and lived-in English decorating style, you’re bound to be a fan of Matilda’s, too. From the tole candlesticks in the living room to the Sanderson strawberry wallpaper in bathroom, Matilda carefully decorated every inch of the flat to reflect her own colorful and whimsical aesthetic. I am wishing I were back in Europe to stop by Matilda’s new Liberty pop-up shop (available are her trademark scalloped raffia lampshades lined in Liberty florals—I’m obsessed with this one!). Below, explore more of Matilda’s charming London home and read the full House & Garden article here.
I love the YSL poster from his museum in Marrakech. Also, the tole candlesticks.
Note the fabulous Rita Konig Belle Reeves trays on the coffee table.
A sweet little chair in the living room.
Clearly, I need a red velvet sofa in my life.
Dark green tongue-and-groove panelling in the eat-in kitchen.
A stairwell with green wainscotting and Sanderson wallpaper.
I love the pale blue walls in this bedroom. Matilda sells the smartly framed botanicals in her online shop.
The strawberry Sanderson wallpaper in the second bathroom is what dreams are made of!
A moodier blue on the walls of the second bedroom. I’m a bit obsessed with the seashell mirror.
Gorgeous built-in closets.
Love the antique Venetian mirror and the dark green tiles.
More moody green tilework in the shower. Every day would feel like a day at a Soho House.
