J.Crew recently unveiled their Fall 2016 Collection at fashion week and I’m curious to hear what you think. It’s no secret the brand has been struggling lately, but the slowed sales certainly haven’t convinced them to play it safe. There are some pieces I absolutely love (like the leopard coat and the silk pajama-like set above!), but there are also things I’d never have the courage to wear out of the house (see the hot pink pant suit below). Thoughts…? Bold and fabulous or color palette gone crazy…? Shop J.Crew latest spring arrivals here.

Oof! Some of the individual pieces are gorgeous, but I can’t imagine how insanely unflattering the fit of those pants, coats, etc. would be on non-sylphs (like me : )) And the layering maybe out J.Crew-ed itself this time. I do love the silk pajamas though.

Jamie – I hear you! I think I’d look like a hot pink marshmallow in some of the ensembles :)

Katie, I quite like all the pieces!
And the shoe collection – Tassels and Pom Poms – J Crew can do no wrong. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Love many of the pieces, but I’ve been so frustrated by the poor quality of recent J. Crew purchases! Major quality improvement is probably the only thing that could bring me back to J. Crew at this point. :(

Tina – I’m all about the shoes too! That’s somewhere my neutral wardrobe dares to venture into some color :)
Amy – I’ve had some hits and misses with them lately too. Will be interesting to see the quality of spring/summer once it hits stores soon!

I have mixed emotions, I love some looks and individual pieces, but not sure if I would be ready to commit to a lot of statement pieces all in one season. I’m interested to see the clothes in person. I’ve noticed, in addition to poor execution, there have been color discrepancies in past presentations compared to what was shipped to stores. I’m loving all of the pink though!
