Remember the stunning New Orleans home that I spotted on instagram and promptly gushed about last month…? Well this morning, T Magazine gave us an even greater glimpse. The photos by Paul Costello of his family’s Garden District home have me ready to pack by bags for the bayou. Paul’s wife, writer Sara Ruffin Costello, gave the once-neglected home a makeover with her impeccable eye for design. I love that Paul referred to the home’s pre-renovation state as “a chic disaster.” Read about the Gothic Italianate masterpiece’s transformation here.

I’m basically at a loss for words. Every single detail of this home is dreamy…

The entire house is stunning. I agree with the previous comment ‘at a loss of words.’ I had the same reaction. Breathtaking.
The Costello’s started with “great bones” and carefully added their vision, and sophisticated, very chic style. The result that resonants with me is the authenticity created in such a magnificent house. It’s a real lived-in home they clearly enjoy! Many thanks. Very beautiful.
