We just sent the August issue of Matchbook live and my California apartment is inside. It was 500 square feet (including the unpublished bath, kitchen, and closets!), but I like to think good things come in small packages. As you may know, we moved to New York yesterday so seeing the piece has me hopelessly homesick. A special thank you to my dear friend Cooper Carras for the photos. I tried to list as many sources as possible below, but if you’re wondering where I found something feel free to ask in the comments! xx

Your place is lovely! So perfectly styled yet casual and welcoming. My favorite pattern mixing was the bedding/headboard—so good. Where on earth did you find the brass floor reading lamp in your living room?
Dana McDowell says
This is lovely!!! Are you planning on keeping the same vibe for your new place, or will you be switching it to more of a NY style?

Yes, I must know where you got the brass floor lamp in the living room, the gold bamboo mirror, and the black and white rug (I assume in the bedroom)! I love the mix of colors and textures! So chic and homey at the same time.

Gorgeous home (or former home should I say) and so are you…wish I could pull off that pixie cut too, it’s so adorable!

I love the decoration of your previous place! I’m sure your place in NY will be equally lovely. I have a question, where did you get the wide gold cuff?

If a woman’s hair style is the final tip-off of whether a woman knows herself, a well-curated apartment must be a close second. Bravo! It was so fun to get a peek inside of your home, and I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with the new place!
I also loved the portion about your style. Over the past year, my style has begun to transition and I’ve been in search of the perfect Ts. I follow you on instagram and you seem to have discovered the perfect, flattering vnecks, one of which you’re wearing in the feature this month. Are you faithful to a specific brand when it comes to casual Ts or do you shop around? I’d love to know!

So incredibly chic – and I only just learned in Matchbook that you had been living in my home town (Alameda!) until recently! I moved to the east coast (Providence) going on four years ago now, but I still miss the little island in the bay. :) xo Laura
