I was just thinking as I read Heather’s lovely post about the upcoming AERIN line (so exciting!) how much I admire Aerin Lauder (granddaughter of cosmetic icon Estée). She always appears so polished and effortlessly chic — the epitome of class and grace. I consider her a great role model for young women like myself interested in business, beauty, and fashion. Judging by her success in the industry and general high regard she’s clearly quite savvy at all three. Which creative business women do you admire?
Oh yes!! Such exciting news.
She is definitely top on my list of admirable women.
She is wonderful, talented and brilliant.
She collects my fine art photography, and she is Very Highly thought of in the Art World for her exquisite taste and good eye. Thanks Katie for keeping us up to date!
I admire Carolina Herrera, she is so talent!
I admire Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Company. I dream that one day I will be able to combine my loves of calligraphy and painting to have my own successful stationery collection. Until then, I’ll look to Anna and to you Katie for inspiration!
Angela Ahrendts, CEO of Burberry. She grew up in small town in Indiana (like me!), went to college in Indiana (like me!), and worked her way into the NY fashion scene and later into a leadership position of global fashion powerhouse Burberry. I was able to meet her on a class trip to London several years ago and it was amazing!
She is incredible! I admire Margot Fonteyn, always and forever.
Nadja Swarovski, for re-inventing a classic family business without losing her way.
Kelly Wearstler, for creating an empire but still making it a priority to be home for dinner every night with her boys.
Tory Burch, for filling the void between casual and chic wtih fun flair.
What a great topic! I would have to say Ivanka Trump. She definitely balances beauty, intelligence, drive and grace.
